It appears that marketing, the fundamentals of commercial science, serves useful functions not only to make one’s life more convenient but also to make a major contribution to society by supplying earth-friendly products and services. Then, corporate profitability will be boosted in consequence. At Department of Commerce, various kinds of practical subjects such as contemporary marketing, business administration, and computer-related fields are available, and each student in the department try to develop abilities and skills which would be actively shown in the front lines of the business world.

“Broaden practical knowledge and global views of trade and tourism”

Amidst the rapid progress of internationalization, particular emphasis has been increasingly placed on trade and tourism. In modern days, environmental issues have been looked at more closely at the global level, and, similarly, even in the fields of trade and tourism, ecology-oriented technologies and services have been demanded to a significant degree. At Department of Trade & Tourism, it is possible to learn both trade and tourism at the same time, while practical theories and actual business routines are taught in order to develop one’s knowledge and competency which enable one to cope flexibly with the rapidly changing international community.

Now that a marked development of computers has enormously boosted the information-driven society, even in business management and operation, it becomes essential to obtain practical knowledge and skills on computers. At Department of Management & Information, it mainly aims at developing practical knowledge and skills on accounting, management, and computers which allow meeting the needs of the age, and, ultimately, it is intended to foster human resources capable of manifesting one’s abilities in the fields of both business administration and computers to the utmost extent.
